The vintage
The result of the combination of the different terroirs of SaintRoman-de-Malegarde, and the selection of grape varieties from the three previous vintages: Shyrus, Romanaise and Vieux Ceps de Raymond.
Description
A beautiful blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan giving this bottle a nice balance between power and aromatic freshness. This wine is a beautiful expression of fruit with fine, rounded tannins.
Situation
Located on our vineyard in Saint-Roman-De-Malegarde, on the North slope. Its exposure offers incredible freshness to the wine.
GRAPES
Grenache, Syrah et Carignan
Terroir
Vineyard of Saint-Roman-De-Malegarde, stony clay-limestone hillsides, with a northwest exposure offering a slight freshness on the palate. Cuvée made with old Carignan, Grenache and Syrah vines.
DEVELOPMENT
The harvest is sorted and destemmed, then the vinification takes place in a concrete tank. Aging in concrete vats for Carignans, in 350-liter barrels for Grenaches and in 225-liter barrels for Syrah

TASTING
Very intense color, ruby red with purplish reflections.
On the nose, aromas of intense fruit, liquorice and spices.
In the mouth, a remarkable power. Elegant and very long in retro-olfaction with a spicy aromatic finish.
